more Randomness...

So i have lots of random thoughts running through my head right now..I will be back when I get them organized!! maybe we can start up some interesting blog discussions????:) ok, I will be back...stay tuned!

5 Months old...seriously??!!!

i can't believe how fast time is flying! Addy is five months old today...so hard to believe;)

This last month has been lots of fun with our little miss. She is getting busier and more interactive all the time!

Her big milestone this month would have to be learning to sit up! She has for a couple of months done a slunched over version but this last week she has learnt how to sit fairly straight up and for a good length of time!

She loves to laugh and giggle. Farting sounds get her going the most:)hehe

Her new favorite thing to chew is her toys and her socks. Cant keep a pair on for the life of us!

She also is fasinated with scratching everything around her, loves feeling material and all the different textures..she especially loves to scratch her butt in the bathtub:)*grin*

She is busy watching the world and learning all the fasinating things around her!

To me there is nothing better than watching your child discover life! its truely amazing!!

Recent Happenings and a bunch of random thoughts!!

Its so hard to believe that it is november!! time is flying, and my baby girl is almost 5 months!! oh my:) We sure are having fun with her;)!

October has come to a close. its always a busy one for us as its again, our anniversary, my birthday, thanksgiving, and Halloween:) We had so much fun as you can see from the pictures in my last post dressing up the girls and taking them out, I look forward to making this a tradition. and again, halloween, we don't really like, but cute costumes and candy..well, who doesn't????

So between hanging out with my little girl, visiting with friends and family, and sweeping my floor what feels like 20 times a day, we have been living pretty low key...and I love it! I have always been the sort of person who needs to be going going going, and for the first time in my life I am enjoying just being. Cause God did call us human beings, not human doings...so I am learning:) Plus as stated about, it seems like time is flying with our girl, and I don't want to miss a moment!

One of the things we are doing right now, is praying, praying for some big things! A few of them being, getting out of apartment and into better and bigger living accomidations. We really really want to do a tropical trip before having another wee person join our lives, and getting Dave through his last level of his carpentry apprentice this January! We can't wait till he is done this! and hence why we want to take a trip...to celebrate this huge milestone in his life!
We are also praying very hard about what I am going to do in the spring time when the wonderful world of mat leave comes to an end. Right now the thought of going back to work makes me sick. We have come to a decision, and hopefully can stand by it that no one else but family is going to be raising our children..so God is just going to have to work out the finances for us to accomplish this. We are not sure right now how this is going to work, but we do know we serve an amazing God who wants what's best for his children, so he is going to work it out!

I have also have been doing a lot of reading lately. It helps to keep my mind working, and its a great escape at the end of the day! One book that I recently finished reading and HIGHLY recommend anyone reading is called the Glass Castle...it will change your life. or your thought life I guess you could say...it will make you appreciate so much more than you ever have before how truely blessed you are! I have a stack of a few others right now to that I will be giving reviews on, at a later date:)!

This weekend we have had some interesting small turn of events. Addy got her first cold, and her mama caught it too! So it was a few rough days around here, and still is, my little monkey is in bed coughing as I write..poor little bug:) but she is a trooper, and I am hoping all these vitamins that I have been taking are what helping us fight this sooner than later!
While my mom was over yesterday helping take care of her sick girls she discovered something nasty in my house...mold!!! in my washing machine!!! it was disguisting!!! black nasty mold in my fairly new front loader washer from Sears. Lets just say Sears wont be getting our business again anytime soon! they have been no help! so we having been trying everything this weekend trying to get it clean, but we will probably have to break down and buy a new rubber part! and now we know that apparently after every use we have to air it out to dry...so annoying!! but I did discover, through my research, something very interesting. A new cleaning agent..ready for this....hydrogen peroxide! works wonders..better than bleach...who knew:)!!!

So november is here, we are looking forward to a few different events this month, including a parenting seminar at our church every thursday for a month..will be back with review on that as well!! anyways, that's my late sat night catch up on life around these parts:)!

Addyson's first Halloween

How much fun am I having with all these firsts...tons!!! This weekend obviously was halloween, and addy got to be the cutiest little lady bug I have ever seen! Yesterday was filled with lots of fun with her cousins, we did a family kids photo shoot in the afternoon, than tricker treating around David's sisters area, than over to my parents place to do some more around their culda sac! All in all a great day! the girls did a great job at getting their daddy's and mommy's lots of treats! Can't wait for next year when she is walking and talking..should be even more fun~ I love building all these traditions with our families..its a blast! and i look forward to many more;)!

Another First!

Well and to me this is one of the most important first for every little girl.*grin* Last wekeend, I forgot to add this one to her many firsts, Addy recieved her first Tiffany's! Thanks Uncle and Aunty I love my new piggy plate and cup and cant wait to use them! But for now I also love my big Tiffany box!:)!

A weekend of firsts

This weekend we had a few fun firsts in our household;) One pretty big, and a few that just warmed my heart. The first cute little thing that I just want to record, is Addy's discovery of her hand movement. She found her hand a month or so ago and was quite fasinated by this tiny fist. But this wekeend we saw a big change in the way she now realized that she is so amazing and can make her hand move..wow majic:)*grin* its so sweet to watch her.
The second first that just warmed my heart happened on sat. I went to an all day womans conference with my girlfriends, and daddy D spent his first full day alone with miss Addy...seven whole hours! and might I say he did great!! She has been awesome all week, and so easy to please, that daddy got lucky with a happy clam, and had a great day together:) He even got her down for her two naps..I was quite proud:) but what warmed my heart was after being away from my little peanut for the longest stretch yet, I walked into the door to be greeted with the biggest smile and laugh! I grabbed my girl as she cluthed my hair, and burried her sweet little face into my shoulder...oh mommies home:)! It was one of those moments I dreamed about growing up and about having kids..the look of awe as their mama returns home! warmed my heart;)!

The big step though for my missy this weekend was her first taste of rice cereal...yumm yumm:) it was quite the hit! Proof in the pictures below:)!

The Brunette is back!

It was time! I was missing my dark hair, and now that the fall is here, and so many rich warm colors need to be worn..I needed my dark hair back:)! Daddy D was quite excited about this, as this was the color my hair was when he met me. whats with that...maybe it takes them back to the happy time, when everything was so fresh and new and exciting, i guess it takes him back to that happy place;)!haha! anyways, here I am, all ready for fall, not ready to embrass the winter though!
