So I am using my blog partially for my pregnancy journal:) So if curious you can read and if not, thats ok too. But I really want to write some where my experiences so I can look back on day and remember and compare for the next one! I can't believe I am already 17 weeks in some ways, but in other ways I can't wait for it to be June so I can cuddle and kiss my little babe.
Thankfully since Christmas day I have been starting to feel better, which has been a blessing. The two weeks before Christmas were quite rough as I was having bad headaches and back aches which were aggrevating the nasuea. My favorite things right now though is my stomach is starting to get rounder so i am starting to look more pregnant instead of just chubby in the mid section:)hehe But my most favorite thing is the little movements I am feeling in my belly! The little pokes and twitches of my little stinker moving at 3am after I get up to pee! I love going home at nigth and laying in bed really still because that's when I can feel the little movements! I can't wait for when I am further along and can really feel them, and when Dave can too! I know he will love it:) I kind of feel for the dads, the miss out on so much of this experience, and its hard to explain things to them....but I am thankful that God in trusted us women to carry this gift, what a blessing it is!
The not so fun thing that started yesterday is that my tailbone was huritng really bad when I sat down. I had to lean forward last night to take the pressure off my bone. I am going to have to start carry a pillow to work soon if this doens't stop..too much stretching!!!hehe
Anyways, thats my ramblings and updates for now...to be continued as things progress...

Our Christmas

David became the official turkey cutter!

Me and my baby outside in the snow on Christmas!

David being David:)
Well, Christmas has come and gone again. In some ways I am sad but in others I am so looking forward to the next year so I am ready to move on to 2009!
The weather was so crazy this year and made for an interesting time around this season. Our christmas eve service was cancelled which was such a wierd feeling for me not going. So after waiting to see what the snow was going to do we headed over to David's sisters place for some munchies and family time. My parents joined us there as my brother and his wife were coming out the next day. we had a great Christmas eve, with lots of yummy food and lots of laughs. My nephew Josaih decided to entertain us with a sermon on how God lives in our hearts and we all had to tell him about God. If you knew this kid you would understand more why it was so funny. I don't think we have all lauged that hard in so long! It was a good old pentecostal fire and brimstone sermon!hehe
After that we headed back to my parents place where we slept over. I love waking up in my parents house on Christmas morning to the fire place roaring, music playing, all the lights lit up and of course the smell of waffles cooking. That's our traditional christmas breakfast; waffles, strawberries, and cream...yummmy:)
Dave and I did our own little gift exchange while we waited for my brother and sister in law to arrive. When they did we ate and then opened presents! By the time we were done it was already 2pm..the day goes by so fast! After presents and a game, we headed to abby to my aunts for dinner, more gifts and games:)
Boxing day was the Colbourne's Christmas day. we were blessed by David's sister with a beautiful gift basket of baby stuff, and much more;) It was a nice relaxing day as we were all so tired from the previous days activities:)
All in all a wonderful Christmas!
All in all a wonderful Christmas!
Yesterday, we headed out with David's brother and his wife(we are both due with in a week of eachother!) to future shop to see about boxing day sales. We had asked for some gift cards and money for Christmas as we wanted to save up for a camcorder for little Colbourne's arrival:) well, we got so blessed and found a good deal on boxing day that we were able to buy one! We both got the same one which was $200 off! Dave was already up fiddling with it this morning..he's pretty excited about his new toy:) Hope your Christmas was as wonderful as ours...can't wait to hear all about it!
Some more pics!

Sugar Cookies gone wrong..
Dave and i spent a relaxing weekend together, finishing up christmas shopping and attempting to bake some cookies, and make our gingerbread train:) Well, the cookies tasted delicious but our $1 store cutters didn't do such a good job and left the big cookie in random peices. So we got creative and made some interesting shapes! Most importantly we had fun!!
Sunday afternoon was our gingergread train making time! We have decided that we wont do the train again, as we perfer making the houses:) But again still a good time!!

Another Tradition!
So I forgot to mention one of my christmas traditions earlier...so here it is! This one I started about 4 years ago when I lived in Vancouver. I didn't have many christmas decorations but I did manage to fall in love with one of these. I first discovered it at Granville Island and was so excited to find that Country Minture Gardens out in my neck of the woods sells them as well! See I like traditions but I am not very traditional. I like unique things, hence why I loved this little guy:) So here he is!

The Start of Christmas!!
Our Christmas kicked off this weekend with the cutting down of David's family christmas tree! The rain was coming down but light enough for us to enjoy this tradition. We headed up to the beautiful Columbia Valley to cut down our tree than headed back for a day of decorating, family time, and yummy food!

I can't Get Full!
Ok, so I am still not feeling great, but I have good days and bad days now, instead of just all bad days. the thing is though that I am starting to get really hungry...all the time!! I didn't think this would hit this early, but I guess so!!! I can't eat a lot at once, so I find I can't really fill up, and I feel like I am hungry all the time. The worst are days when I feel gross, but I am starving...such a bad combination! Oh the fun journey, that changes daily:)hehe

My big news;)
So yes, I have been keeping a secret for a couple months now. But its time to spill the beans...so what is it...well....its the fact that in June 2009 I am going to have a baby:)!!! That's right, I am three months pregnant! And so excited for this journey ahead, espiecally since its started out a little rough. Meaning, I have been sick, sick, sick! Morning sickness, my butt it is! Try all day:) Ok, anyways, back to the positive! Anyways, I will leave it at that for now, as it just feels so good to get it out, and not keep it in anymore. More to come on this crazy journey that we have been on the last couple months, and all the baby craziness that surrounds us as well! Lets just say, God is so good!

My Christmas Fav's!!!
Ok, so I sit here, knowing I should be thinking about lots of things to do, and should be doing, but really all I can think about is Christmas!! I am just really excited for it this year:) And I blame retail world...because Christmas has come so early this year. One if the things that I love about Christmas is traditions...so I thought I would share some of my favorite's, some are old, some are new, but I love them! I am also looking forward to creating new traditions with David!
Tradition #1: Ok, well this is a newer tradition for me, but an older one for the Colbourne's. Every year, this year, the first sat of December, we go out as a family and cut down a Christmas tree! I love this tradition because I grew up with artificial trees, which i Loved decorating, but I do love cutting one down. Ok, well, watching the guys cut it down! After that we head back to mom C's for some Chilli(yummmm), hang out in the afternoon and than in the evening we have some snacks and decorate the tree. To me, this day is the kick off of christmas!
Tradition #2: My own shopping day. I love having one day to myself to get my christmas shopping done. Than coming home, curling up with somethine yummy to drink, watching something wonderful and wrapping my presents. I love wrapping presents!! One of things I use to love about working in retail!! Wrapping:)
Tradition #3: baking and movie day. A couple days before christmas I love having a baking day where I make yummy cookies like short bread and peanut butter balls dipped in chocoate! I love the fabulous smell in the house afterwards too!
Tradition #4: On the same day as my baking day, I love to watch my two favorite Christmas movies, Love actually, and The Family stone! One to make me laugh, and one to make me cry:) It's one of my favorite days!
Tradition #4: I love Christmas eve, and I love Christmas eve night. Our tradition has always been Christmas eve service. As kids at my church we were always allowed to bring one gift to church and open it after the service. So much fun! Now I love handing out the gifts to the kids and watching their faces:) such a joy!
Tradition #5: Our Christmas eve meal!! Appy's!! I love appy's, and this is something we have done for years. Growing up in a city church, we had lots of young single adults in our church. So christmas eve was always filled with different people. Made it so much fun! we would hang out, play games and enjoy yummy food!
Tradition #6: This one I absolutly love!! Going on the train in stanley park! I missed it last year, and the five years we lived in Penticton, but growing up as a kid we always went! i love it!!! I also, A couple years ago, started going Van Duesen gardens as well. If you haven't gone I highly recommend it!!
Tradition #7: Christmas morning breakfast! Waffles:) Need I say more!
Christmas day itself is constantly evolving, but is wonderful as our family expands! And like I said I am looking forward to making our own traditions to pass along to our kids one day! Such a blessed time of year!
So what are some of your favorite traditions?????

A song for the heart.
There is an artist that I love called Natalie Grant. She has a powerful voice, powerful words, she is amazing. Here is the lyrics to one of my favorite songs of hers... I hope it encourages:) it is a great reminder, when the pain of life is so great, God is always there to hold and us comfort us and teach us how to regain hope in our Savoir. Be encouraged, be blessed...
Natalie Gran-Held
Two months is too little. They let him go.They had no sudden healing.
To think that providence wouldTake a child from his mother while she praysIs appalling.
Who told us we’d be rescued? What has changed and why should we be saved from nightmares? We’re asking why this happensTo us who have died to live? It’s unfair.
Chorus:This is what it means to be held. How it feels when the sacred is torn from your lifeAnd you survive. This is what it is to be loved. And to know that the promise wasWhen everything fell we’d be held.
This hand is bitterness. We want to taste it, let the hatred NUMB our sorrow. The wise hands opens slowly to lilies of the valley and tomorrow.
(Chorus)This is what it means to be held. How it feels when the sacred is torn from your lifeAnd you survive. This is what it is to be loved. And to know that the promise wasWhen everything fell we’d be held.
Bridge:If hope is born of suffering. If this is only the beginning. Can we not wait for one hour watching for our Savior?
(Chorus)This is what it means to be held. How it feels when the sacred is torn from your lifeAnd you survive. This is what it is to be loved. And to know that the promise wasWhen everything fell we’d be held.

November Blah!!
Ok, so maybe this is going to sound like a depressing blog...but I really don't like November. I don't find anything interesting happens, it rains all the time, and than usually we get our first big dump of snow!! don't get me wrong, I love snow, but not when it comes like a crazy person, and dumps for two days straight and than I have to drive in it!! Ok so I am a little bit jaded because two Novembers ago I had my first car accident. It was the first big dump of snow and we got stuck in the city at my brothers for the weekend. It was now Monday afternoon and there seemed to be a clearing in the weather, so I made my way home. I hit 264 and hit black ice, slid off the road and into the ditch! One of the scarriest moments of my life, and so frustrating too! What if I waited. All the reason to blame myself of course. So anyways, yes, maybe I have pre determined judgement for this month....so heres to hoping for some good and exciting stuff to come!!!! Look at me, trying to be optomistic:) Now December on the other hand....December I love.....

The Letter "M"
So Laura did this little game passed along by one of her friends so I thought I would join in. Its a fun way to get to know people:) Basically, she assigned me a letter and I have to come up with 10 of my favorite things that start with that letter! So here we go!
1. Movies-I love movies! Dave and I decided not to get cable our first year of marriage, but lots of movies were watched! I love chick flicks that is for sure, but the last couple years I have grown to love thrillers and action movies. Really, you don't have much of a choice when you live with a guy:)

2. Money-Its true I like money! Who doesn't it. Its a neccessary evil but we need it. Do I wish I had more, yes! Lots more, no! Just enough to take the every day financial stress away! I also like to give money away, its is such a great feeling!
3.Magazines-I LOVE magazines! Are they a big Money waster? Yup! But do I still love them? Yup!! I love to read the articles, look at adds, find recipes, find out whats in style! Its just so much fun. Some my friend brought me back from Mexico!
5. Make up-Ever since I was a little girl, I have been obsessed! I guess that is what took me to working for a cosmetic company for 5 years, and brought me back to selling it on the side:) I love colors, and lip glosses and finding a great foundation..so much fun! Some of my favorite brands are, Mac, Bobby Brown, Stilla, Christian Dior, Channel....just to name a few:)hehe
6. Men-Not that there was any confusion in this area..but i do. Actually, just one in particular..my hubby:) he's fabulous!
7. Mothers-I love my mom, and my mother in law:) I am blessed with two great women in my life! I also have always loved having adopted moms. You know, when you are at your friends houses so much, they feel like your mom and you feel like a second daughter...i love those relationships! Makes life so special:) I also look forward to one day being a mom myself, as i have watched some of my best friends turn into such natural fabulous mothers! So proud of them:)
8. Music-Oh how I love music! I couldn't imagine my two hours commuting every day without it! I love all types of music, Christian, pop, R and B, a little bit of country, salsa, ok you get my drift! I love it. I played three instruments when I was a kid as well, so I do love classical as well:) Some of my favorite bands are, Christian, Hillsong(a little obsessed) and Chris Tomlin. I love Sarah McLaughlin, Coldplay, chantal Kreviazuk, and many more:)
9. Missions-One dream that Dave and I both have is that one day we will be able to do some missions work. We both have a heart for little ones, and would love to go to Africa, or Brazil and serve. For now we just wait for our timing and for a door to open:) but its something that is always on our hearts!
10- Mocha- As in Mocha Frappacino....need I say more:)

HAVE YOU EVER DONE THIS????
Ok, so this story isn't about me, but my dear hubby:)
So sat, he went to the grocery store, and came out to the parking lot. He opened the car door, and looked in the back seat to see some blue thing sitting there. He thought, huh, that's strange, what did Crystal put in my car, because I never put that there.....ahh....than the lightbulb came on....Crystal doesn't even have a key to my car.....wait a sec.......THIS ISN"T MY CAR!!!!
That's right, David was able to unlock the car of soemone else, that had exactly the same car:)haha! Scary, but quite funny. so he quickly locked the other persons car back up and walked away to proceed to find his own car:)hehe what a guy I tell ya!!
Anyways else have any crazy embarassing "blond moments" if I can call them that without getting yelled at by some people:)

Birthday Thanksgiving Extravaganza!!!
This weekend has been a blast so far! Friday night started out with a family dinner at Bravo's(a fabulous restaurant in Chilliwack). Wonderful atmosphere, great food and great laughs...it was a perfect birthday evening:)
Saturday was prep day for our party that evening! Everyone started arriving just after 4pm..and of course mostly everyone was late:)hehe We had a great time with family and friends, a whole house hold. Lots of food, lots of little people running around, good laugs, a great time catching up with people. All in all, I couldn't have ask for a better way to celebrate Dave's and I first anniversary and my birthday! Thank you everyone who came it was an amazing evening! I only have a couple of photos to share because I had a "brain Fart" moment on Sunday when I was half a sleep downloading and accidently erased most of my photos before they saved onto my computer...I wasn't to happy:( But here is a couple that I was able to get!
Sunday was a relaxing day at my parents and eating turkey..and now we are just getting ready to head out to David's sister's place for some more turkey!yummm...hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend with family and friends. Be Blessed!

Happy Birthday to me....tommorrow!!!
Yes! Tomorrow is my birthday its true...I will be turning the big 26!! woohoo:) Its amazing to think that i have celebrated my birthday 25 times, and each time was so different and unique..It got me thinking about my previous birthday's and some of my fav's!
Last birthday was a special one as I was on my honeymoon:) It was great to be with Dave but I have to say that it honestly didn't feel like a birthday, I think apart of that had to do with being away(which I have never been before on my birthday) and still coming off of the adrenaline of my wedding! I did it to myself really:)
The birthday before that was my first with David, so that was pretty special:) I have to say though, I don't think any birthday is like the birthday parties i had as a kid. It's a good reminder for me to because we didn't have a lot of money, but my birthday's were always so special! My grandma was an amazing cake maker, so she would always make me the coolest cakes:) I remember this one birthday, I think it was my 10th where I had like 12 girls sleep over and we all lined up in the living room in our sleeping bags. My poor parents, I don't think they slept at all that night:)
Like I said, I haven't done anything crazy, over the top for my birthday, but the one thing I do know is that I have always been surrounded by lots of love and felt special:)
I will be back after the weekend with lots of pics I am sure. Friday is my family birthday dinner and than Sat we are having a bbq at my parents place with family and friends celebrating my birthday and our one year! Because to me, now a days, anniversary's need as much celebrating as possible!
SO.........MY QUESTION TO YOU IS WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE BIRTHDAY MEMORY?????

Our One Year Anniversary
Saturday morning I received this little gift from my hubby:)
A card in this adorable bag(our wedidng colors) and a cute little thing that said "you mkae the world a better place just by being in it," so sweet, and I am so glad love is blind!haha
This was a nice suprise as well since we already got our anniversary gifts, my new camera and Davids PSP:)
About 3pm on Satuday we headed out to Harrison Hot springs for the night. We checked in and wandered around the hotel. We saw a wedding being set up in the room we got married in, it was a little bittersweet for me, apart of me wished I could do it all over again as it was such an amazing day!
But the other part of me is so thanful to be where we are now:)
We Hung out in the room for a bit, watched a movie and got ready for our dinner reservations at the Copper Room! What a cool place;) It reminds me of a fifties dinner club. A live band, dance floor, great food....all in all a great experience and I would love to go back!
This is a picture of David and I just about to head out to dinner, all dressed up for our big night out!
This is me..in my little black dress ready to go to dinner:)
This is David chilling in our room....and yes there are two beds, thats all they had left!haha!
The beautiful view of harrison lake from our hotel room!
More shots of the beautiful lake!
After dinner we went into the lovely indoor pools for a bit, than headed back to the room for the night:) We ended up sleeping in till 10:45am..and check out was at 11am, woops:) I have never gotten ready so fast in my life!! We had lunch at the lake side cafe and headed to abbotsford for some serious mini golf, and Skee bowling and Castle Fun Park, yes its true we love that place! Followed by some yummy appy's at Milestones. All in all a wonderful weekend together:)
Yesterday, after work we were pretty tired. Both sets of parents dropped by around the same time to drop off cards, so we chatted with them for a bit, than ordered my favorite, Thai Chicken Pizza from Boston Pizza, curled up in bed and watched a movie..it was great!!!
This first year of marriage was such an amazing adventure, it had its ups and downs, thankfully more ups than anything. Getting married definetly doesn't make life easier, but its so awesome to share each moment with your best friend, and have someone to hold your hand through this journey. I wouldn't change it for anyhting in the world. I can honestly say that I love my husband more today than yesterday, and that is a great feeling:)

A week Today!!!!
A week today is my First wedding Anniversary!!! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by:) What a blessing it has been! this Saturday we are heading out to Harrison Hot Springs for the night, as this is where we had our reception last year:) I am so looking forward to a night away with my hubby to remember the best day ever!

They way I like to buy clothes is spend more money on good pairs of jeans and pants, and mix up my shirts, sweaters, ext..every season! So one of my finds and I have found some success in getting some cute cheap stuff, is Superstore:) I am sure many of you have seen the Joe line, maybe purchased..but if you haven't, check it out:)

One of the many reasons I live in chilliwack
After work yesterday, dave and I headed out to cultus lake to meet his parents for a bbq:)
I loved this!! I felt so blessed by God to live in an area where I could get in my car and 10min later be near a gorgeous body of water, to eat, and fellowship with friends. I joke because I know a lot of people thought I was crazy when I moved from Vancouver to Chilliwack, and yes there are many things I miss about living in the city, but I love where I live now too! Especially because of who I live with:)wink* I am surrounded by gorgeous lakes, rivers, trails, community, family and fun!
Last night I went to my first dance class. I had drop in hip hop classes when I lived in the city and loved them so it was time to get back into something. I needed something active without being bored:)
Well, last night I had a blast! There was about 12 women in the class, from 20-55! it was great! I loved the variety of women that came and gave their all:) My question is though...why can't we do this in church. I how I pray for the day when we can dance freely in our churchs..when young and old will let loose for Jesus! I will be at the front when that day comes!

God is so good!
Ok, so I am fighting a stupid cold; that is not the highlight of my day:) I hate being sick:(
Anwyays, on to other things. So, basically i have a bunch of random thoughts in my head today.
I am overwhelmed right now by how great God is:) His presence in my life was so strong this weekend, and in such a short period of time, my undestanding of him greatly increased!
I love how God truely does work in mysterious ways.
Dave and i both feel like we are in a very peaceful place, where good change is just around the corner. I am excited, and wait in expectancy for what God is going to do in our lives! I don't know yet, but I can just feel it:)
God really moved this weekend in unique ways and I am so thanful for it!
We went to Broadway church on Sunday because we were out in the Burnaby visiting our siblings. The message was on failure..a touchy subject for me because I do battle with this in my life. My dad always said I was my worst enemy, and I am too hard on myself.. I really felt God releasing some of that this weekend! God opened up my eyes to a new outlook. I was thinking during and after the sermon about area's in my life where i feel like i have failed. And when I thought about such things, like finances, it really hit me, does God really consider these things failures, or am I going by the worlds standards? Anyways, this was really big for me because I really battle it. It also really struck me, how can God help me move forward with the things he wants for my life when I am sitting in guilt and shame for the things I have done in my past? Again is this what God want's for my life? I am thinking no:)
My heart is in a place of receiving new understanding of where God is taking us, and it is so exciting!! I know he's got a plan, I just have to walk in it!!
New things are coming......because I am letting go of the old.....

I kissed caffeine Goodbye
ok, well, not completly. But basically, I am trying too!!
Today is day one, so we will see how it goes. I have been trying to do this off and on for a while now, but couldn't stick with it, but I feel it is time! I am not giving it up 100% just during the week.
I struggle with anxiety, have a high stress job, and am addicted to starbucks. Not good for my health or my wallet!:) so, I have decided that during the week no caffeine, and it will be a treat on the wekeend:) So i am sitting here sipping my Tetly, Vanilla Roobos herbal tea..and its yummy:) But, going to take some getting use to!
I will keep you posted on my progress!!!
